Western New York is "Keeping our Promise" to our Hometown Heroes. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference for our Western New York Veterans and Troops. We offer financial assistance for disabled, Return and Recover, Tickets for Troops, and a Grant a Wish program.

Our Mission

WNY Heroes President / CEO Honored

Former Army National Guard member and WNY Heroes President / CEO Christopher Kreiger was awarded a Purple Heart on Friday, November 11, 2011 before the Buffalo Sabres game for injuries he suffered seven years ago while serving in Iraq.

Co-Founder’s Story

Chris Kreiger was inspired to co-found WNY Heroes - a veterans' assistance center - as a result of personal experience gained following a decade of service with the United States military.

Kreiger joined the U.S. Army in 1997 with primary military occupation specialty status (MOS) as a combat medic and secondary MOS as a member of the Military Police. During his first five years in the military, he served his country and others in several important security operations:
